Everton VS Liverpool
Liverpool are in red-hot form at the moment having just defeated Manchester City in the Champions quarter-final first leg while Everton it seems are just playing out the last few games of the season with nothing to play for. This fixture however, is the Merseyside derby and there’s plenty of bragging rights to play for.
Liverpool will try to put on early pressure as they often do in big games and try to win it in the first half. While Liverpool may rest a few big names for the 2nd leg of the European tie, there should still be enough firepower on display to make it competitive.
Bet: Liverpool to win HT/FT
Bournemouth VS Crystal Palace
Palace desperately need the points from this game while Bournemouth are pretty much safe. While Palace have played far better than their 17th place suggests, they’ve struggled in front of goal. Bournemouth will be happy with a point to edge closer to Premier League survival for another season.
Not expecting many goals from this one, one goal either way could win it for either side.
Bet: Corners over 10.5
Brighton VS Huddersfield
Another two sides facing relegation, though Brighton could pull themselves out of the relegation fight with a win. Brighton have quite a decent record at home while Huddersfield have been dismal both home and away of late.
Brighton have a very tough fixture list toward the end of the season facing Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool all in their last three games. Brighton need to bag the points in the next two to three games and they will surely pinpoint this fixture for the maximum three points.
Bet: Brighton to win
Leicester City VS Newcastle United
The end of the season couldn’t come soon enough for Leicester as they have looked disinterested in the last few games while Newcastle just need a few more points to secure another season in the Premier League.
While both teams play cagey football, Leicester have real fire-power in their attacking play, while Newcastle have struggled for goals all season. Not expecting a classic here, might be one to avoid in the highlights.
Bet: Match goals under 2.5
Stoke City VS Tottenham
Stoke are in real trouble, they are 19th and in the midst of their worst form in many seasons having only taken 7 points from their last 10 games and with only a few games left to play they face one the most in-form sides in Tottenham.
Even without leading scorer Harry Kane on display, it’s hard to see Stoke getting anything out of this game. Spurs on the hand could make a real statement by climbing the table and brushing aside the Champions League disappointment.
Bet: Match goals over 2.5
Watford VS Burnley
Both Watford and Burnley are safe from the relegation fight and while Watford have gone off the boil in recent matches Burnley have maintained form in hope of further slipups from arsenal to reach one of the Europa League places.
Both these teams like to play with natural width and it makes for great viewing and a real throwback to old-fashioned English football. This fixture is all about who has the desire to perform, Burnley might just more reasons to perform than Watford.
Bet: Burnley to win
West Brom VS Swansea
West Brom are all but relegated after a dismal run of form since the turn of the year. Swansea on the other hand, had pulled themselves out of the relegation fight only to be back in it again. Swansea could do themselves a huge favour by taking all three points in this fixture against a fight-less West Brom side.
There’s no fight left in West Brom if there ever was any this season while at least swansea have shown they have it in them to get the odd resuk=lt. Swansea will be despreate to get all three points here and I suspect west from wont put up much of it fight.
Bet: Swansea to win
Manchester City VS Manchester United
Manchester City could lift the premier league this week if only they can overcome Manchester United. What a game this promises to be! Manchester City fresh from an unexpected dismal display in the Champions League against Liverpool in midweek have a huge dilemma, do play all their big guns so close to the Champions League return leg or risk it all to lift the Premier League trophy beating the biggest rivals. For united it’s simple, stop city at all cost.
City are all but champions and progessing in the Champions League is far more important than lifting the league a week early all be it in front of their city rivals. there’s a lot of pride and Latin ‘machismo’ between Pep and Jose, who knows what they’ll decide to prioritize but it’ll be exciting either way.
Bet: Manchester United double chance
Arsenal VS Southampton
Arsenal have found some form of late while Southampton look like they go to the wire in the relegation dogfight. Arsenal produced a very good display in midweek against CSKA to all but secure passage to semi-finals of the Europa league, their only hope of Champions League next season.
Southampton have a decent record against Arsenal and they need to continue in that vain to get anything out of this fixture. Arsenal have in free-scoring mood of late, with Southampton desperate for points there could well be a few goals in this one.
Bet: Match goals over 2.5
Chelsea VS West Ham
Chelsea take on eastend rivals West hame in this Super Sunday London derby. Chelsea have little chance of catching Tottenham for a Champions League spot and West Ham have a difficult season on the pitch and in the stands. While this may be a derby I suspect it won’t be a classic by any stretch of the imagination.
Not expecting much action in this one, couple of goals could settle it, and perhaps west ham will be more than happy with just a point to edge close to premier league survival.
