This week we have both Premier League and FA Cup Semi-finals previews and betting tips

West Brom vs Liverpool

West Brom had an amazing win against Man Utd last weekend, but they have left it too late. West Brom are all but relegated, surely they have no hope of surviving?

Liverpool, on the other hand are having a great season and take on Roma in the semi-finals of the Champion’s League on Tuesdays night. With only a couple days of rest in between such an important game, Jurgen Klopp is sure to rest his most important players.

Full squad or not, Klopp will surely look to keep the good momentum going into such an important game, and those who do come in for this fixture are likely to play out of their skins to get themselves in contention for the Champion’s league fixtures.

While West Brom had a great win against a lacklustre United last week, I doubt they’ll be given an easy ride by Liverpool, in fact, they’ll be lucky to get anything out of this game.

Betting Tip: Liverpool To Win

Watford vs Crytal Palace

With only four games of the Premier League’s season to go, Palace should be safe with the 6 point cushion between them and 17th place Southampton. Their great win against Brighton last week was hard fought and well deserved. Crystal have played well since the turn of the year but have little to show for it.

Watford, on the other hand, have seemed like they can’t wait to finish the season off and get their holidays. For a few months now, Watford have absolutely woeful.

Palace, I suspect will want to capitalize on a disinterested Watford side and bag another three points. If recent form is anything to by Watford shouldn’t be much trouble for Palace in this game.

Betting Tip: Both Teams To Score-NO

Manchester United vs Tottenham (FA Cup Semi-final)

United have had a poor season by their standards, out of the Champions League to a poor Seville side and not really putting up a fight for the league at any stage. Thier only reaming chance of any glory this season remains the FA Cup.

Spurs have had a similar season to united, while they have looked good on the eye, they also failed when it mattered, going out to Juventus at the same stage in the Champion’s League. So the FA Cup is also the last chance for Spurs to end the season on a high note.

While Spurs may have the (temporary) home advantage, United have the experience of winning trophies and in Jose Mourinho, they have the ultimate pragmatist, Mourinho know how to get past the finishing line while Pochettino so at least has yet to prove he can produce a League or Cup winning side.

Games between these two are always a great spectacle, but somehow I got a feeling Mourinho will sour that tradition. Expect a tight, compact game with few chances, a goal either way may seal it for either team.

Betting Tip: First Half Goals UNDER 1.5

Arsenal vs West Ham

It’s amazing how the mood can change in football just in few weeks. Just a few weeks ago, West fans were running on the in protest and just all Arsenal fans were calling for Wenger’s sacking. Of course, fortunes have changed somewhat, West Ham have all but escaped relegation and Arsenal may be in contention for a Champion’s League via the Europa League.

Arsenal went down to a shock defeat to Newcastle last week, while West Ham held Stoke to a draw. West Ham don’t usually do too well at the Emirates, with Arsenal’s attention on the Thursday’s semi-final against Athletico this may the perfect chance to spring up a surprise.

Betting Tip: Total Match Goals Over 2.5

Stoke City vs Burnley

If Stoke City were to have any chance of staying up they needed to win last weeks game against West Ham, in which they were held to a draw. With only four games left, Stoke will now need a miracle to stay up.

Burnley on the other hand, are having a fantastic season and could be heading for 6th place if Arsenal fail to win. They have played effective and entertaining football all season, and Burnley certainly have far more goodwill towards them from fans of other clubs than Stoke City.

While Stoke did play better last week against West Ham, it’s too little too late. They might well put up another spirited effort against Burnley but Burnley are more than good enough too deal with them.

Betting Tip: Asian Corners Over 10.5

Manchester City vs Swansea City

The new Champions of the 2017/2018 Premier League play their first game as Champions against Swansea who probably the only side who are in trouble of getting sucked back into the relegation zone.

Whatever the result of this game, Manchester City will be crowned as the champions. Surely Manchester City will want to to be crowned after putting on a show for their delighted home fans.

Manchester City have been relentless all season and it’s hard to see them letting off the gas here on their moment of crowning glory.

Betting Tip: Total Match Goals Over 3.5

Chelsea vs Southampton (FA Cup Semi-Final)

The second semi-final of the FA Cup sees the repeat of the same fixture that saw Chelsea come back from 2-nil down to win 3-2 last week. Given the choice, you’d think Southampton would rather have the 3 points in the league than playing Chelsea again for a place in the Cup Final.

Never the less, Southampton have at least week where they can forget their League woes and concentrate on turning a disastrous campaign into a decent one.

Chelsea showed last week they are still a classy team when they want to play and with a place for the final up for grabs they might just turn up for this one without little else to play for this season.

Betting Tip: Chelsea To Win

Monday 23/04/18

Everton vs Newcastle United

By any measure, Newcastle have had a great season. They were touted to go straight back down after few acquisitions last summer or in January.

Everton however, have spent a lot of money and have little to show for it. Many had Everton to challenge at least for a top-6 spot if not the top-4. However, after a season of managerial turmoil and fan unrest, Everton are where they always seem like they always are, mid table.

Both these sides have had real trouble scoring goals, where both these teams excel is defence and this game might just showcase those abilities over others. Be prepared for a bore draw.

Betting Tip: Total Match Goals Under 2.5
